Student Found Error in Calculations
One of our online students from San Francisco, CA was doing homework in the online class for Velocity Calculations and noticed something unusual in NFPA 15. After talking with him at length, we are convinced that Fritz Descovich has discovered a fairly significant error in the calculation example in the annex of NFPA 15. The Academy will be submitting a proposal to correct this error in the next cycle of NFPA 15. Unfortunately, this Committee has just completed its work for the next edition and it will be another 18 months before we can submit the correction. In the meantime, Fritz has agreed to write an article on the errors he found.
